About the
Donald R. Broderick Memorial Scholarship
The Donald R. Broderick Memorial Scholarship fund at Manhattan College was started "in lieu of flowers" to honor the memory of Donald R. Broderick, who was lost to us all too soon following his graduation from Manhattan College in 1986.  In naming this site "Jasper66", we honor Don and the number "66" which he wore as a 4-year member of the Manhattan College Jaspers Football team.

In the earliest days, the fund was supported by a group of dedicated students from Don's fraternity Alpha Sigma Beta, along with friends and family, running a fundraising dance on the MC campus.

For the past 15+ years, a golf outing and dinner is held annually every September at the Westchester Hills Golf Club in White Plains, NY.

The fund, an endowed scholarship, has raised well over $1 Million and given out hundreds of thousands in scholarships to dozens of students since its inception. We are proud that this fund has given so many the opportunity for a Manhattan College education.

Many of our attendees and sponsors have supported the fund from the very beginning, over 3 decades ago.
